This year, from 11 to 17 September the director of IMSC UL Rihards Balodis-Bolužs and executive director Ināra Opmane were on a business trip in Novgorod, Russia where the SORUCOM 2011 conference was held.
During the business trip the collaboration possibilities with Novgorod State University, Novosibirsk Akademgorodok (the Academic City) institutes and IT virtual museums in Moscow, Kazan and California were discussed; the paper “The Institute and Three Socio-technological Transformations of IT” prepared by Rihards Balodis-Bolužs and Ināra Opmane was read in the plenary session; also, the incorporation of the IMSC UL’s IT museum in the Russia’s IT virtual museum network was achieved as well as a number of materials, about the IT development, for the IMSC UL’s IT museum were received.
