During the period 01.04.2014 – 30.06.2014 in the ESF project „Applications of mathematical structures based on fuzzy logic principles in the development of telecommunication network design and resource control technologies” with agreement Nr. 2013/0024/1DP/1.1.1.2.0/13/APIA/VIAA/045 the following activities were carried out:
Activity 1: „A formation of a new interdisciplinary scientific group”
During the period of consideration a new interdisciplinary scientific group was formed, which involves 14 researches from LU MII (11 researchers) and RTU (3 researchers). An agreement about participation in the project with a foreign scientist Buras Boljiev was achieved. A request for the corresponding amendment was submitted.
Activity 2.1: „Reciprocity of the interdisciplinary research”
The group started the work on the subactivity 2.1.1 „The order of the necessary mathematical models, methods and their research” of the activity 2.1 „Reciprocity of the interdisciplinary research”. To promote the reciprocity of the interdisciplinary research 5 seminars were organized. The work on the order to adapt mathematical models and methods for the development of the technology management of telecommunication networks was started.
Activity 2.2: „Subject research work”
Members of the group started the work on all three of the subject research activities 2.2 subactivities: 2.2.1 „The development of telecommunication network projecting and of resource technologies management”, 2.2.2 „The development of mathematical models and methods on the basis of fuzzy logics principles” and 2.2.3 „The research of dynamical systems in a fuzzy environment”.
Activity 2.3: „Preparation of scientific publications and reports”
The results obtained in the period of consideration were presented at a local conference of the University of Latvia and at 3 International scientific conferences: the 12th International Conference on Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications FSTA 2014 (2 reports), the 12th INFORMS Telecommunications Conference (1 report), the 3rd International Symposium on Combinatorial Optimization ISCO 2014 (1 report). 4 scientific research papers were worked out and submitted for publication in the proceedings of the conferences.
Activity 3: „Ensuring of society information and publicity”
The information about the project was actualized in the networks of LUMII and RTU.
